Objectives
This is an academically rigorous course that provides the opportunity to study the major accounting disciplines and relate these to the business IT, or legal environments. The course is supported by regular guest speakers. You also benefit from the departments Accounting Employability Network, which has links with many accountancy-related organisations to help you to find relevant work placements and work experience, and also offers specialist careers advice.

Entry requirements
You should have 160-200 points, including at least 140 from two or more A-levels. English Language and Mathematics GCSE at grade C or above (or equivalent) are also required. These requirements may be varied in individual cases

Course structure
Joint Honours involves four modules from each level in Accounting, plus four from your other subject. At the end of level 1 you can continue on the Joint Honours route or take a Major degree in Accounting. On a Major degree you study additional Accounting modules at level 2/3 to increase your exemptions from professional body examinations.
