Advanced 3D Studio Max - Course

  • Course description

    The Advanced 3D Studio Max course builds on the skills learned from the introductory course.

    Ideally, you will have already completed the 'Introduction to 3D Studio Max' course or feel very competent using this programme.

    From having a fundamental understanding of how the programme works, this advanced course will allow you to expand on this knowledge through specific tasks giving a greater understanding of the programme as a whole.

    The 8-week course is divided into 4 smaller projects, which will include:

    Building Architecture – this includes skills that will aid in the modelling of large to small objects.

    Organic modelling – includes proficiencies that will aid in character modelling to product modelling with organic forms

    Animation techniques – including character animation and further camera animation

    Material application – you will explore and expand on understanding of the Unwrap UVW mapping system

    By the end of the course you will have a greater understanding of some of the most commonly used techniques within the program and feel confident in modelling, animating and the mapping of objects.

    Entry requirements:

    You must have completed the 'Introduction to 3D Studio Max' course, or possess equivalent experience.

    Course takes place on 8 Monday evenings, 6-9pm (Spring) 8 Thursday evenings, 6-9pm (summer)
