  • Objectives This is a course designed to meet the needs of students who have completed an undergraduate degree in a relevant area of business, accountancy or finance. The two specialist routes on this course offer the option to specialise in the International or Financial Services aspects of accountancy. It will allow you to develop critical insights, vocationally-relevant subject matter and is highly focused on skills development.
  • Entry requirements Entry Requirements You should normally hold a recognised undergraduate Honours degree in accountancy, business, marketing, economics or an appropriate professional qualification (which will be assessed on an individual basis). In exceptional circumstances, you may be admitted to the course based upon work experience or other academic or personal development activities.

    The Research Methods module provides comprehensive training in research skills. You will then have the opportunity to gain first hand experience of field research through the dissertation module; an extended piece of research which allows you to pursue an area of interest in depth.

    Teaching and Assessment
    Each module may include:

    The delivery of formal lectures, intended to provide a focus for study and to stimulate an enquiring and exploratory approach.
     Group discussion, dealing with questions and issues highlighted by the module leader for your consideration within the context of your private study.
     Seminars, workshops, student-led discussions and other group sessions to analyse issues relating to defined topic areas.
     Case study analysis and advanced level accounting and finance exercises.
     e-Learning to support teaching and learning strategies.

    Assessment can include case studies, presentations and examinations.
