This course is for students who want to develop accounting skills and achieve a language qualification (recognised at key skills Level 1). This course covers a range of units such as recording income and receipts, initial trial balance and supplying information for management control, making and recording payments, Health and Safety, achieving personal effectiveness, working with computers (SAGE).

Classrooms, workshops, guest speakers, visits.
Assessment
You will be continuously assessed through skills tests and exams, together with your completed portfolio. If you are unemployed, you will need to arrange your own work placement.
Course leads to AAT NVQ in Accounting Level 3. You could gain employment in range of careers e.g. in a bank as a trainee accounts assistant/officer.
