    The main purpose of this programme is to offer experienced higher education practitioners the opportunity to deepen your understanding of issues you encounter in practice through processes of critically-reflective professional inquiry and practice-based research. Our aim is therefore to help improve professional practice through a combination of scholarship, skills development, inquiry and critical review of theory, research and methodology.

    The programme is offered in three courses:

        * Critical inquiry into academic practice - provides the opportunity for in-depth investigation and analysis of the institutional, national, international, policy and social contexts of participants' higher education practice.
        * Investigating academic practice - introduces you to different methods of inquiry and their relevance to the particular practice issues.
        * Dissertation on academic practice - provides the opportunity for you to undertake an in-depth investigation into an aspect of your practice.
          The programme aims to build on and support your prior experience and special interests through a participative approach.
